Franck Perera finished day 1 of Paul Ricard test in 7th position while Ferdinando Monfardini finished at 19th position after some hydraulic problems made him loose most of the morning session.
Eric Boullier, Technical & Managing Director : “Today we have been able to do everything we had planned on our technical program for Franck, this is quite satisfying. After this day we have determined some major points to work on tomorrow for performance and the team is confident. Ferdinando was not lucky as we had to fix an hydraulic failure on his car, he did only 3 laps this morning.”
Franck Perera : “following last test we decided to work on new directions, I am quite happy because we have reduced the gap with the others, it was really a good work session for us today and I look forward tomorrow’s test day.”
Ferdinando Monfardini : “I can’t be happy with 19th position. I lost the morning session, the team did a great job to fix my car for the afternoon and then we had to work on our technical program with half of the time planned. Usually I am in the pace on this track and I am confident for tomorrow.”
